If so, we have a great opportunity for you to join the Earthmoving Engineering team in Decatur, IL as a Design Engineer. This is an excellent opportunity to continue to develop and stretch your engineering skills when you develop electrical system and installation designs to meet internal and external customer requirements while achieving time, cost, and quality goals for current and future motor grader product offerings.
Specifically, you can expect to :
Work, effectively within a cross functional team environment in collaborative product and process development (CPPD).
Lead the development of concepts and designs to meet project requirements
Lead the development of the electrical system and electrical schematic
Evaluate the performance of current production designs and identify improvement opportunities
Delegate and direct portions of the design to other supporting engineers
Select, place and mount electrical components.
Integrate routing of wiring harnesses and cables in CREO.
Collaborate with other system teams and value stream partners to deliver optimal product.
Conduct technical reviews to ensure robust designs.
Develop and execute validation plans.
Resolve NPI and CPI issues.
Work with the factory and product support for electrical related issues.
Support continuous improvement in knowledge retention and process refinement.
To be successful in this role, you must bring (Basic Qualifications):
A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably Electrical Engineering, from an accredited college or university.
3 years’ experience in product development
Strong leadership and communication skills
Top candidates will also bring:
Hands-on experience with construction equipment
Demonstrated application of NPI and CPI processes
Expertise with CREO, TeamCenter, and Electric Lines SDP tools
Experience in executing quality processes (APQP)
Applied knowledge in electrical components, L4 electrical systems, or electrical controls
Proven examples on dedication to achieving goals
