Description

Caterpillar Product Support & Logistics Division are currently recruiting for flexible workforce positions (working 40 hours per week) in their Champaign Facilities! Earn $850 in addition to weekly pay within first four months of employment!

$13.65 per hour (additional $.65 shift differential for 2nd and 3rd shifts), $500 sign-on bonus*, $350 retention bonus per quarter (after the first 30 days), 5 days unpaid vacation 3 days unpaid personal time, unpaid holidays and Caterpillar ‘Works 4 me’ limited medical benefit plan. Depending on business requirements, normal working hours will be 40 per week with some opportunity for overtime! Don’t miss this opportunity!

Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Utilizing material handling equipment, such as: reach trucks, sit-down forklifts and overhead cranes
• Perform material handling and warehousing functions
• Order filling, processing, storing/ picking of parts, materials, equipment and supplies
• Operating automated packaging equipment, shipping and receiving

All eligible candidates MUST pass the following pre-employment screenings before they can be hired to any Caterpillar position:

• Background Screening
• Drug Screening (including marijuana)
• Post-Offer Medical Questionnaire - clearance from Corporate Medical

Basic Requirements 

• Ability to frequently lift and carry boxes weighing up to 35 pounds for intervals of 15-30 minutes
• Work at heights of up to 20 feet from the floor
• Work in an environment with frequently changing temperatures
• Walk, squat and bend over for intervals of 15-30 minutes, with or without reasonable accommodation
• Able to complete training on a computer when required (this is primarily for safety and job-related training) 

Top Candidates Will Also Have

• Experience with operation of materials handling equipment - or willingness to be trained
• Previous distribution center, warehouse, and/or order filling experience

Additional Information

• Positions are in Champaign, Illinois on all shifts with the majority being 2nd and 3rd
• Positions available in all departments such as Outbound, Inbound, IDS and Pick & Store, and Kitting
• This position is part of Caterpillar’s Flexible workforce and employees are expected to be willing to work in any area as needed
• Starting wage is $13.65 per hour (additional $.65 shift differential for 2nd and 3rd shifts). After 30 days, Caterpillar Flexible employees will be eligible for the Quarterly Retention Bonus ($350)!
