The purpose of this position is to write programs and operate the Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) to validate incoming material conformance to specifications, ensure proper disposition of material, and support line demand.
Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Maintain and improve the integrity and reliability of process controls within the inspection process to ensure customer protection
Perform Plan / Method Audits of the production processes to ensure critical to customer actions are occurring correctly
Interpret GD&T print callouts for Nonconforming write-ups
Be self-motivated, work independently when required
Flexibility to take on workloads from different aspects of the business
Identify and document key metrics related to the assigned department or function
Understand and interpret engineering prints
Provide support to quality issues
Support internal and external customers using sound metrological theories
Understand and apply GD&T principals and gaging techniques
Ability to perform Root cause corrective actions to improve stop capability
Submit and assist with the resolution of C.P.S. Continuous Improvement cards
Follow standard operating procedures and area specific work instructions
Perform all other duties as assigned
Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
Basic knowledge of standard assembly tools and applications
Minimum 1-year experience working in Quality
Good communication skills (both written and verbal)
Intermediate level proficiency with computerized standard work instructions
Engineering blueprint reading/interpretation experience
Experience operating a CMM machine using PC-DMIS software.
Top Candidates will also have:
Strong customer service/contact experience, communication, multi-tasking, interpersonal and organizational skills.
Initiative and ability to resolve issues either individually or through appropriate team guidance.
Extensive GD&T and gaging Experience.
Meet Physical Requirements (with or without reasonable accommodation):

* Able to lift 35 lbs with or without assistance
This is a full time position with benefits. The pay rate is $21.00 per hour, PLUS $1.47 per hour for shift differential = $22.47 per hour.
