This position will serve as the Engineering Manager for the Electronic Control Module (ECM) Hardware team. The ECM Hardware team has design control responsibility for Caterpillar machine and engine ECMs. The manager of the ECM Hardware team is responsible for providing leadership in the following areas:
People Leadership: The ECM Hardware Engineering Manager is the direct supervisor of 15-20 engineers and technicians. The manager is expected to provide ensure the team is staffed for success, provide excellent mentoring and coaching, and foster a culture of teamwork and commitment. Additionally, the ECM Hardware Manager is responsible for collaborating with peers to develop ECM hardware development capabilities around the globe.
Product Leadership: The ECM Hardware team has global design responsibility for electronic control modules which are leveraged across Caterpillar machines and engines. The manager will lead the team in defining next generation products, new product introduction, life cycle management, and problem resolution.
Supplier Leadership: The ECM Hardware team highly engaged with ECM suppliers in the development and manufacturing of ECMs. In partnership with procurement teams, the ECM Hardware Manager leads the development of sourcing strategies and supplier relationship management.
Accredited Engineering degree or a closely related technical degree with at least 15 years of product development experience.
Top Candidates will also have
Advanced degree in an accredited Engineering curriculum and / or MBA
Development Experience in Embedded Electronics
Prior Supervisory Experience
The location for this position is Mossville, IL
